Montescudaio

Montescudaio, whose name come from latin Mons Scutarius is situated on a hill overviewing Cecina, its plain, and the sea.
The landscape is green, dive trees, vine trees and large wood. There is a huge protected area and in it its possible to see so many different kinds of animals: pheasant, hare, hawk, magpie, wildboar, roe-deer, blackbird, red-breast, woodpecker, hoopoe, (or "galletto marzolo, as it is called here), porcupune, jay.
